The Full Story

The emerald cut predates the brilliant by decades. It was the dominant diamond cut through the Art Deco era, prized for its geometry and its ability to show off large, clean stones. When the brilliant cut arrived and with it the era of maximum sparkle, the emerald cut became the choice of those who preferred something quieter and more assured.

That quality translates beautifully to a pendant. Worn at the base of the neck, an emerald-cut stone catches directional light — sunlight, candlelight, the overhead lights of a room — and holds it differently than a brilliant would. It's a more grown-up kind of beautiful.
